Laura is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and has been working with individuals, couples, adolescents and families since 2007. Laura is passionate about helping her client’s build on their strengths, achieve balance in their lives, and attain the personal growth and change that they desire. She specializes in the areas of depression and anxiety along with issues related to self-esteem, empowerment, relationships, and life transitions.
Laura utilizes a client-centered approach, drawing from Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy tailored to best meet the client’s unique individual needs and goals. Laura believes her genuine, accepting and non-judgmental approach is key to helping clients hear their inner voice and developing knowledge of their strengths in order to be able to break through the barriers that are holding them back from living a quality life. Laura provides an empathic and supportive environment that facilitates the possibility for healthy change, positive solutions and personal growth and healing in their lives. Laura also works with couples to improve their communication, build a stronger bond and reach greater intimacy and happiness together. In addition, Laura has worked extensively with adolescents in helping them be able to more effectively navigate their world during this difficult stage in life.
